Game 2: 7th Inning with Jarrod Washburn

"Game 2: 7th Inning" highlights Jarrod Washburn, Head Baseball Coach at Webster High School. Coach Washburn has led the Tigers to back-to-back state championships in 2018 and 2019. Arguably the most storied baseball player in Wisconsin history, Jarrod was the 31st overall pick in the 1996 MLB draft and a 12-year MLB veteran. 

This episode is packed with his playing and coaching experience. Jarrod details the characteristics of the numbers championship teams he has played and coached on.

Game 2: 6th Inning with Greg Reinhard

"Game 2: 6th Inning" highlights Greg Reinhard, owner of GRB Academy. Inside of this episode, Greg takes us through his journey as a player at UW-Whitewater and into professional baseball then into life at GRB. Reinhard was named D3 National Pitcher of the Year in 2005, the same year the Warhawks won their first national championship. After his junior year, he was drafted in the 6th round by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and spent more than six years playing pro ball.

"Game 2: 5th Inning" highlights Kyle Trewyn, Associate Head Coach at Bradley University. He also serves and the hitting and catching coach as well as the recruiting coordinator. In this episode, KT unpacks his journey as a player and coach and his path to his current position. We dig into player development, recruiting, practice planning and so much more.

KT and I have known each other for 15 years starting when we played together at Cardinal Stritch University and I was lucky enough to have him for one season as my JV coach at Catholic Memorial. He is a long-time friend and a fellow #girldad.

"Game 2: 4th Inning" highlights John Vodenlich, Head Baseball Coach at UW-Whitewater. 2021 will be coach Vo's is entering his 18th season as head coach of the Warhawks. Under his leadership, the Warhawks have won two national championships (2005, 2014) and sent 41 players into professional baseball. Vo is been a great friend of the WBCA and takes a ton of pride in baseball across the state of Wisconsin. Inside of this episode we touch on player development, practice planning, recruiting and so much more.

Doffek has spent over 27 years coaching at Milwaukee and in today's episode he opens up his program to the listeners. Game 2: 2nd Inning with Chad Montez

"Game 2: 2nd Inning" highlights Chad Montez, Head Baseball Coach at Waukesha West High School. Coach Montez has a career record of 410-309 including seven conference championships, ten sectional appearances, and eight trips to the state tournament. He is also the conference rep for the Classic Eight Conference and a former president of the WBCA. Chad is a 2018 WBCA Hall of Fame inductee.

"Game 2: 1st Inning" highlights Scott Staude, Head Baseball Coach at Burlington High School. Coach Stuade has a career record of 284-194 including four consecutive Southern Lakes conference championships, four consecutive trips to the state tournament, and a state championship in 2016. He is also the conference rep for the Southen Lakes as well as the 2nd Vice President of the WBCA.

Game 1: 7th Inning with Jeff Ryan

"Game 1: 7th Inning" highlights Jeff Ryan, Head Baseball Coach at Prescott High School, a 2019 inductee to the WBCA Hall of Fame. Coach Ryan has a career record of 371-109 including 12 conference championships, two trips to the state tournament, and a state championship in 2012. He has also served as the Middle Border Conference rep since 2003 and has twice coached in the WBCA All-Star Classic. 

A huge thank you to Coach Ryan for sitting down with a fellow social studies teacher and baseball coach. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did recording it. 

Game 1: 6th Inning with Ryan McGinnis

"Game 1: 6th Inning" highlights Ryan McGinnis, Head Baseball Coach and Athletic Director at Kimberly High School. Ryan discusses his journey both playing and coaching as well as the lessons learned from fellow coaches at Kimberly. The Papermakers are a perennial power and are frequent visitors to Appleton. Baseball is one of many successful programs within Kimberly High School and McGinnis takes a tremendous amount of pride in providing an unforgettable experience for all student-athletes at Kimberly. Coach McGinnis has led the Papermakers to a state championship in both 2007 and 2017.

Game 1: 5th Inning with David Bahr

"Game 1: 5th Inning" highlights Dave Bahr, Head Baseball Coach at Lake Country High School. D-Bahr discussed his journey both playing and coaching, the humble roots of LCL, and lessons learned throughout an already impressive career to this point. The core values and life lessons Dave shares with the listeners call for reflection and heavy note-taking. He is the only head coach in school history and has a career record of 440-155 (.739) while capturing state titles in 2014 and 2015.

"Game 1: 4th Inning" highlights Greg Fetherston, Head Baseball Coach at Jefferson High School. Fether unpacks his journey growing up in Jefferson, playing baseball at UW-Whitewater, and shortly after graduation becoming head baseball coach at his alma mater. Along with the numerous Rock Valley Conference championships, the Eagles won the 2014 Division 2 state championship and were runners-up in 2018.

"Game 1: 3rd Inning" highlights Mark Fuller, the "Godfather" of amateur baseball in Wisconsin. Mark spent 34 years of his coaching career at Cumberland High School where his teams won 10 conference titles and earned 4 trips to the state tournament. Mark is currently in his 8th year helping the Warhawks at UW-Whitewater. 

Aside from his on-field success, Mark is a world-renowned speaker and has spoken at clinics in 11 different states and 10 different countries sharing his knowledge of the game. Mark's energy is infectious and his love for coaching and serving others is one of the many reasons why the state of Wisconsin couldn't ask for a better ambassador. 

Game 1: 2nd Inning with Rob Hamilton

"Game 1: 2nd Inning" highlights Rob Hamilton, Head Baseball Coach at Sun Prairie High School. Under his leadership, the Cardinals have qualified for ten Division 1 state tournaments and won five (2005,2006,2012,2013,2014). His unparalleled success in our state's largest division is truly remarkable. Rob has plastered his name all over the record books and will go down as one of the most successful high school coaches in Wisconsin baseball history. Rob has also served as the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association (WBCA) president and has given countless hours and effort to grow the game across the state. 

Game 1: 1st Inning with Scott Holler

"Game 1: 1st Inning" highlights Scott Holler from Oak Creek High School where he serves as Head Baseball Coach and Athletic Director. Scott is also the current president of the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association (WBCA). In this episode, Scott opens up about growing up in Oak Creek, his journey in baseball as well as the ins and outs of the Oak Creek Baseball Program.
